JOURNEY THROUGH ASHES

My eye fails to observe the naked reality
My ear fails to perceive the truth
My conscience hesitate to speak out what matters the most
I walk around like an insolent ghost
As if I am abandoned
As if I am lost

In the ruins of this holocaust
I don't remember when I smiled last
I stand all alone in the debris
Searching for the leftovers to feed my undying hunger
Unsatiated unfulfilled
I saw a corpse raped and killed
My heart just beat in terror
It was my long lost enemy
Should I cry should I laugh
To bargain with this realism is tough

I walk alone all alone
Meet some men
Meet some women
They were purged in shame
They knew the so called theme of utopia
Was a big lie

I walked on
Met some soothsayers
There lips were murmuring some prayer
It was inaudible
But still I heard them say
Its close, its near, don’t go any far
Or you will be dead forever

Journey through ashes
Journey through this immoral land
I feel suffocated
My face buried in the sand
I see a hand waving at me
Calling my name
I try to reach but I fail
I was too late the ship towards oblivion had already sailed

Its too late for vociferation
Its too late for provocation
Its too late for salvation
Pay for your sins
Pay for your crimes
Try to find the way out from this darkness
As the sun shines

Journey through ashes
Journey through this immoral land
I feel suffocated
My face buried in the sand
I see a hand waving at me
Calling my name
I try to reach but I fail
I was too late the ship towards oblivion had already sailed
